State Library Recognized for Excellence in Public Relations
The New Jersey State Library received high honors for excellence in public relations from the American Library Association at its annual national conference in Anaheim, California.
A team of experts in librarianship, public relations and marketing selected the library’s 16-page publication describing the programs and services offered and supported by the State Library for the honor. As a winning entry, the brochure was on display and available to librarians from across the country during the Swap and Shop program “Hot Ideas for Cool PR.
Sally Lederer, of the Swap & Shop Committee of the Library Administration and Management Association (LAMA) Public Relations and Marketing Section, presented the award to Nancy Dowd, director of marketing for the New Jersey State Library.
